4 colouring sheets linked to your 4th July Celebrations. Each sheet shows 6 pictures for children to talk about and colour in.

A power point presentation to share with young children encouraging them to talk about keeping safe and road safety as well as observing sings all around. Slides 1 to 4 show colour images and words that children can name and discuss their meaning. Slide 5 can be printed off as a worksheet and asks the children to write about how to cross the road safely. Slide 6 is a table of some of the vocabulary the children could use in their writing or learn as part of their topic work. Slide 7 is a colouring sheet - children can colour this in or use it as a stimulus for making their own Road Safety doodle sheet or poster. Here is a format for children to self review their year. Sheet 1 asks some questions that children might consider in writing their reviews. They can come up with others of their own. Here are 10 worksheets linked to feelings, ourselves and emotional literacy. Each sheet has 4 scenarios for children to read. They then draw a picture to show how they would feel about each one. There are example faces at the top of each page showing feeling and emotions. Children can select from these or draw their own. The scenarios can be cut out and used as cards to discuss in group work or in pairs. Cards can also be sorted under different headings such as angry, sad, happy and excited. The activity encourages children to use and enhance their vocabulary around feelings. As an extension, children could make up their own scenarios. These can be compiled into a set of cards for discussion work. This activity is also a handy resource for play therapists and for working with children with behaviour difficulties.

There are 12 flashcards - 2 to a page, showing each month from January to December with a picture that represents that month or Season. The same flashcards are in a smaller version with 2 sets to 1 page. There is a worksheet where children cut and sequence the small cards and they can cut and paste onto the template worksheet and / or, match to the number cards from 1 to 12. A nice back to school activity for January to start the new year off.

This is a money activity where children count up to £68 in pounds. Kim is going on holiday and has written her shopping list. Children use the visual price list to help them work out how much money Kim will need altogether. Page 2 shares Kim’s story and gives space for children to work out their answers.
